MY WORKS AT DAWSON COLLEGE

Drawing/Arts

At Dawson, I was able to appoint value to my creativity, where in the past, I simply viewed it as a hobby. I learnt many skills that advanced my pieces and further improved my line work and shadowing. I took countless classes that focused on perfecting and completing each piece until I felt entirely satisfied with what I had achieved. This included a drawing class, a painting class, an animation course and a printmaking course. Each course offered me various insights on how art is interpreted and assisted me in understanding which crafts I needed to pursue my art in the future. Below is a gallery of several of my works.

Journalism/Poetry Writing

Writing courses have been my main priority when studying at Dawson. I've learnt to mainly focus on the quality of my work and the use of my skills for things that interest me. I first took a Journalism course that really helped engulf me in the study of journalism and article writing. I found it extremely interesting and continued to enjoy writing on another level since then. Writing has always piqued my interest over the course of my life and studying it and applying it to my personal pieces has very much amused me as a writer. I went on to take a poetry course; I chose this because poetry has been a very important part of my writing career and my primary choice of expression. This class gave me an insight into how poetry is written and the different types of styles that various poets used during their lifetimes. I know that these two courses will help me with my final project as my writing will seem more advanced, clean and original. Below are a few poems I have written in the past.
