1. How does your project relate to your program of study at Dawson?

I strongly believe my project relates to my program at Dawson because I have taken many classes that taught me poetry, line drawings and art in general. Instead of focusing solely on one of my strengths, I put them together to exhibit how much I have learnt during my time at Dawson. As I mentioned in my portfolio, I have worked on projects like this before at school.

2. What were you hoping to communicate with this project?

For this project, I was hoping to communicate my passion for writing and poetry and combine them with my learnings at Dawson. It was very important to me to show off something that I loved to do through all that I've been able to absorb in this program.

3. Did the project, when completed, measure up to your personal standards of excellence? Give details.

I strongly believe, when completed, my I.A project did not measure up to my personal standards of excellence. I say this solely because my standards are very high and I am the pickiest when it comes to my own work. The smallest wonky detail can seem like a mountain of errors to me. To others, it may seem adequate, but to me, it will never be perfect!

4. If you were given the opportunity to re-do this project, what would you change?

To be fair, with the time we had, probably nothing! But on my own time, I would have liked to put more effort into the website's animations and aesthetics, while making it easier to navigate. I enjoy making websites on Wix but they get a little repetitive, so I wish I had more time to make it my own.

5. Do you rate the experience of participating in a student-driven project positively or not? How would you rate your experience in this Integrating Activity course?

I adored this experience, with the exception of it being an online course. I truly find students so helpful and kind when making comments about the projects. It really helped me push through and try to create something that was up to everyone's standards. Positive reinforcement is the best way to excite students, especially in times like these! The experience was incredible overall and I am also glad I had a teacher who was very open to my questions and ideas but also gave us the independence we needed to work on our projects.
